The fish count was close to 1500, like 50 off or something. But its not about the catching for me anymore. I'd rather to go to a challenging spring creek and maybe catch one or three wild browns instead of to a bluegill pond and catch a doz gills, I learn something new every trip to a spring creek, but I still love those bluegills.
Those last two streamers are my patterns (kind of). I won't go on a rant, but basically a lot of streamers out there are based off of...what else...the sex dungeon. But a lot of people think that adding a new material here and there, substituting the old for the new materials make it a new pattern. Not really, in my opinion changing a couple of the materials up doesn't change the pattern. So, with all this new stuff coming out, a lot of the flies are based off the sex dungeon, of course same style I mean. So it's a take on Galloups's pattern, only no deer hair up front, just laser dub, and palmer chenille instead of hackle. Pretty simple...
