Recently, I've been discovering that there is hardly ever a stocked trout that will refuse a small zebra midge. I tied a bunch is several colors, and some brassies as well. My favorite way to fish them are as a dropper off a bigger fly like a copper john, and it under an indicator. These guys don't take long to tie, and you will lose a bunch over the season, that's why I tied a dozen of each color.
Hook: TMC 2487 Size 20 (kind of big, but just perfect for stockies.)
